We
live in "interesting" times.
Just over the
horizon we face a cornucopia of interesting challenges (opportunities
in disguise).
-
Global warming
threatens our climate and our environment.
"Peak Oil"
has been revealed as a scam, but oil prices continue to rise.
Our forests and
fisheries have been depleted..
Racial tensions
within and without are rising towards boiling point.
The "War on Terror" is
developing into an undeclared world war.
Bush
could be impeached; or martial law could be declared at
any time, removing our few remaining freedoms.
The bankers own more, and we less.
Taxes are up, and quality of life down.
There has not been such
economic uncertainty since the great depression.
Even the stability of
the Earth's axis spin has been placed in doubt.
Its not like we have a choice. Anything could happen. And it
probably will, as it always has.
So,
knowing all this, what do you do about it?
Well, the only thing that you can be sure of, is that we're all gonna die
anyway. That's just the way it is. We can gnash our teeth, complain to city
hall, and run around pulling our hair out, but it ain't gonna change anything.
The only thing that makes any sense is to keep one eye on the open road
, and enjoy as much of the scenery as you can. We may only pass
this way once.
Life is precious. Use it wisely.
Play
hard.
Love with passion . Make lots of friends. And
leave a legacy of lovely memories.
In
reality, we are our friends. We define and experience ourselves by the
reflections given by our friends and loved ones. Choose wisely. That's all
there is.
I'm
coming to the point.
What if you could find a
special place where everyone smiled and had enough stuff, where people
had the time and inclination to be friendly, where the climate
was absolutely perfect most of the time, great services and
entertainment opportunities were at your doorstep, and the world's most
advanced medical practicioners lived just down the street? What if some of
the world's best minds, teachers, and spiritual leaders were your next
door neighbors? What if this place offered almost perfect protection and
security from all but the most horrific imaginable doomsday scenarios? And
what if a share in this place could be purchased now for the price of a
very small suburban home?
Would you be interested to have a look? We're not alone in this. Survive
in style, anyone?
Of course you would!
And so would I.
Unfortunately, I haven't found it yet. But I am determined to find it. If you
know of such a place, want such a place, or have such a place, and you want
the skills, resources, experience and knowledge that I have to offer, please
let me know ASAP. I don't think we've got a lot of time left to live, to love,
and to enjoy. And I want to use my time wisely. In the meantime, I'm getting
my kit together here in New Zealand, which is about as good a place as I've
found to make a stand. All that's missing is the people to make it all
worthwhile.
I'm looking for expressions of interest, intent, or completion from
like minded people who have caught a glimpse of that runaway Mac truck
heading our way just over the horizon! This is for real, and just may be
the reason you were brought to this site. Stay tuned in, and send me an
email expressing your interests, your concerns, and what you have to
contribute to the grand plan.
